My Father’s House is a non-profit family shelter that opened to meet the needs of homeless families: men, women and children sleeping in cars, crashing on friends’ couches, or going from home to home just to survive. These families all need HOPE.

My Father’s House seeks to meet the needs of the whole person, including physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of our clients’ lives. Our desire is to address the underlying causes of homelessness and offer the help that each family needs.

Since more than half of our residents are children we provide a home-style atmosphere that encourages change, structure, accountability and life changing classes and services that are suited for the entire family. For many of these parents it is their only opportunity for a chance to get back on their feet.

All of our programs stress responsible living and decision making. We never do anything for residents they are able to do for themselves, but we are available with assistance, encouragement, support, training and prayer. We are community-based and are supported by over one hundred churches, fifty businesses and hundreds of individuals.
